Built in 1873 ‘The People’s Palace’ was built for the British people. This recreation centre also provided Victorian London with parks and outdoor space for all to use.
In 1936 the BBC transmitted the first public television broadcast from the palace cementing it’s place in the history books.
The Palace is situated near Muswell Hill which is not directly served by the London Underground but is connected to the West End and The City by several bus routes.
