Fellow art lover, Stan of Kilroy Fine Art, speaks with David at the Festival of Antiques

David Harper (Antiques Expert, BBC Presenter & Artist) spots fellow art lover, Stan Kilroy of Kilroy Fine Art, at the Festival of Antiques. Stan’s love for art led him to creating his fabulous business that specialises in fine art, and provides thousands of customers exceptional pieces of art every day. We asked Stan how he found the Festival of Antiques this April, to which he responded “the crowds are brilliant (at the Festival of Antiques).”

To find out more about what is selling, David asked Stan what seemed to be of interest to customers throughout the day. Stan expresses that Still Lives and Landscapes seem to be the most popular at the moment. In particular, Stan is finding that students’ work of their favourite artists are rising in value.

If you wish to invest in art, make sure to visit iacf antiques fairs where you can learn what area will be most effective for you to invest in! Stan & David suggests that investing in 20th century, modern British art is a good idea as you can purchase these original pieces of art for about £500, with their value increasing all the time, this can be a great investment for your future! Throughout talking to Stan, we took a look at David Cox’s work, which is gloriously traditional.

The pieces of art for sale at this particular event from David Cox was going for sale for around £1,000, which David Harper (art expert) expresses was no money at all for an original piece of David Cox’s work. David further expresses how it’s an incredible investment! If you are looking into investing into art for your future, then the Festival of Antiques is the best place for you to source these one-of-a-kind pieces of art. You can spend £500 on a truly decorative piece of art, and your £500 could turn into £5,000!

It was fabulous to catch up with art lover Stan, from Kilroy Fine Art, at the Antiques Festival. Art is keeping Stan young – which is what we love to hear! Join us at the Festival of Antiques in September 2022 on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th September. Get your tickets online today.
