Our congratulations go to Reg Penny and his stall partner Daniel King for winning ‘Best Dressed Stall’ at the Sept 2017 Ardingly International Antiques Fair!
Reg has been a collector & dealer in Antique & Collectable Porcelain for 28+ years , following a 26 ½ year career in the Fire Service, and is a regular at many iacf fairs. Reg and his stall partner Daniel have an extensive collection of English and European porcelain on their stall, all exhibited beautifully. The age of the pieces varied from early 18th Century through to more contemporary collectable pieces.
One thing that would certainly catch the eye on the stall, are the wonderfully laid out tea sets. “The tea sets tend to be very popular with buyers from the far east.” explained Reg. “Places like Japan and South Korea.” Let’s hope the current troubles in that part of the world can be settled soon, without conflict, allowing people to continue to enjoy the beautiful porcelain in peace!

One of the rarest finds Reg was able to show me was a commemorative plate depicting Le Tsar Alexandre Alexandrovich III, the father of Nicholas II, and dating to the end of the 19th Century – following the Tsar’s death.
