One-Day Monday & Two-Day (Weekend) Markets

Newbury Showground is a fantastic location for our One-Day Monday and two-day (Weekend) Antiques & Collectors Fair. Excellent facilities, an indoor area, tree-lined walkways and beautiful countryside surroundings, make for a very relaxing and enjoyable day antique collecting.

Newbury Antiques Fair is just off Junction 13 of the M4, and with acres of parking, this antiques fair has to be one of the country’s most accessible by car. With stalls inside and out, it’s a favourite location for filming BBC’s Bargain Hunt, and with the range and quality of items being sold it’s easy to see why. This growing fair is sure to become a regular in all antique hunters diaries!

Newbury Showground plays host to the Newbury Antiques Fair. The fair, held four times a year, has proved to be extremely popular with both professional antiques dealers and public buyers searching for unique, stylish, beautifully designed and manufactured items for their homes and gardens.

Purchasing antique and vintage items not only scores points in the style stakes – it also makes for a more sustainable lifestyle. By their very nature, they are recycled goods. Having stood the test of time, they continue to bring as much character to today’s contemporary homes, as they did when they were created. The intricacy of workmanship and the quality of manufacture and design in antique and vintage items, far surpasses the mass production tendency of modern consumables. It is also an incredibly eco-friendly way of shopping – particularly items of furniture – which can usually be purchased at a far lower cost than their modern counterparts.

Antique, salvage and collectable items of every description will be on display at the event, and with a large indoor area housing many of the more delicate items, there is certainly something for every taste and budget. Colourful glassware, paintings, ceramics, bronze statuettes and jewellery are all items that are very popular with the buyers and sellers in the hall, while salvage and garden items, furniture, mirrors, ephemera – and much more – can be found on the outside pitches.

Please note: There are no cash machine facilities on-site, though many vendors accept card payments. The closest ATM cashpoint service is at the nearby Chievely Services.
