Peterborough, the Festival of Antiques at the East of England Showground.
Top Tips for Visiting the Festival of Antiques from BBC Antiques Expert and Artist, David Harper, gives us his top tips for visiting the Festival of Antiques!
1. Bring suncream! You may not think that events in Britain will need suncream… however the Festival of Antiques is held twice a year, in the spring and autumn months, and often enough – the sun is shining down upon the East of England Showground.
2. Travel light! You don’t need to bring food with you, as there are lots of different food choices on site. David expresses how you don’t want to be carrying loads of stuff around with you. You have to walk far to get across the entire showground, so ensure that you walk around as light as possible!
3. Don’t be afraid to talk to people! You will be amazed at how sociable antiques fairs can be and you don’t need to be an expert just to have an interest in something!
4. Bring your family & dogs! All iacf antiques fairs are very dog friendly and family friendly, so if you are worried about leaving your children and/or dogs at home, then don’t worry -you can bring them along!
