International Antiques and Collectors Fairs (iacf) have announced that the April Festival of Antiques at Peterborough’s East of England Showground will be their last.
iacf confirm that the Festival of Antiques on the 7th & 8th of April at Peterborough’s Showground will be their last due to a planned housing development of the showground. The building programme has been brought forward, therefore from July 2023, events at the venue will no longer be possible. iacf has regretfully cancelled their September fair and will no longer be able to use the venue for the Festival of Antiques. This news has left iacf and its loyal visitors and stallholders saddened and disappointed.
“The Festival of Antiques at Peterborough is a fantastic event in a great location. It’s a real shame for iacf and the people of Peterborough and the surrounding areas to be losing the showground, which is such a big part of their community and identity.”Will Thomas, iacf Managing Director.
Making the last Festival of Antiques the best yet…
As the 7th & 8th April 2023 is to be their last Festival of Antiques at the East of England Showground, iacf plan to go out on a high. They will be putting extra resources into the marketing and promotion of the event to make it the best yet. Visitors can look forward to an exciting and memorable last Festival of Antiques at Peterborough.
iacf would like to thank the many loyal visitors and stallholders who have attended Peterborough over recent years. Also be assured that if you are a stallholder and have already booked your stall for the September 29th & 30th Festival of Antiques, no payments will be deducted from any cards supplied, and all cheques received will be destroyed. This will be done automatically, and there is no need to contact the office.
Newark, Ardingly and new horizons
Although the Festival of Antiques at Peterborough is coming to an end, iacf want to remind visitors that Newark is only an hour up the A1 from Peterborough and Ardingly is only 2 hours south. Both of these events are great alternatives for those who would like to continue to attend UK antiques fairs. You can find out more about these fairs at www.iacf.co.uk.
It’s incredibly sad that Peterborough Festival of Antiques is coming to an end and it’s a big loss from iacf’s calendar of fantastic UK antiques fairs. Excitingly however, the team at iacf are working on a new fair at an all new venue, details are still under wraps so be sure to keep an eye out for announcements from iacf, you can sign up for their newsletter and stay up to date on all things antique fair related at www.iacf.co.uk.
