The Alexandra Palace Antiques & Collectors Fair is somewhere synonymous with discovering unique, antique treasures. But what could possibly fit the bill more than 'sunken treasures', salvaged after hundreds of years from the briny deep of Davey Jones' Locker - i.e. real shipwrecked treasure? Carolina Valdés Vignoli (stallholder at Alexandra Palace) tells iacf's Grant Nicholas about her love of these rare, beautiful and romantic treasures.

Hands up who knows what Horology is? No, it’s got nothing to do with horoscopes or any other arcane way of predicting the future; though the Greek origin for both words has the same root – Horo – meaning hour.
So, it’s got something to do with time, and the measurement thereof, that much is clear. To find out more, Grant Nicholas caught up with Brian Noble and Zanna Perry from the British Horological Institute (BHI), ahead of their visit to our Alexandra Palace Antiques Fair on Sunday 2nd September.
