Antique Nutcrackers from 1800-1880 at the Festival of Antiques looked at by Serhat Ahmet

Just take a look at these, they are nutcrackers, from about 1800 to about 1880, some of them are quite simple antique crackers and others are more decorated. The antique nutcrackers come in a range of different shapes and sizes. Starting with a French 19th century screw-type pocket nutcracker, made from boxwood, and just the right size for cob nuts!

You can then find a more decorative nutcracker, a 19th century fruitwood “figural” lever nutcracker of a very jovial gentlemen. The piece is beautifully carved, and comes in excellent condition, find colour and patina. If you are looking for continental antiques, then the Festival of Antiques is the perfect place for you. We had so many different continental antiques at the Festival of Antiques this October 2021.

Thousands come to visit the Festival of Antiques and like Serhat says, make yourself one of those people! Visit our Peterborough Page to find out more information on the Festival of Antiques and find out when you can visit the East of England Showground again for the one and only, Festival of Antiques.
